Alan Sepinwall Newark Star-Ledger The fifth season was produced under the belief that the show's audience was as big as it was ever going to get, and that emboldened the writers to reach increasingly bizarre heights. Sep 4, 2018 Full Review William Thomas Empire Magazine Even with the raised stakes in this fifth season, the sharp writing and casting continue to keep Scrubs out of the emergency room. Rated: 4/5 Oct 18, 2017 Full Review Gillian Flynn Entertainment Weekly All of Scrubs' weirdness works because the actors are so game. Rated: A- Jan 3, 2006 Full Review Andrew Gilstrap PopMatters Arguably, Season 5 isn't as sharp as some of the earlier seasons, when the characters' peculiarities were fresh and new. Rated: 4/10 Nov 7, 2019 Full Review Dustin Rowles Uproxx No sitcom has really ever mixed comedy with poignancy as well as Scrubs has. It was a show set against the backdrop of life-and-death stakes, and it was often the deaths of patients that would bring out the best in Scrubs. Sep 4, 2018 Full Review Dan Iverson IGN Movies To fans of the series: enjoy the show; while not every episode is perfect, the ones that are make you remember why you started watching the show in the first place. Audience Member Świetny humor, który dzisiaj może być uważany za rasistowski/(dowolny przedrostek)fobiczny Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Audience Member One of the very few shows in existence to consistently be flawless! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Audience Member Heartfelt but still hilarious!! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Audience Member A few good laughs, but usually cut short by painfully unfunny segments or morbid drama. Didn't really find any of the plot lines for this season particularly riveting. Still, there are shows that have dropped off a lot worse by their fifth season. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Audience Member Can't give this one a perfect score due to the fact that a lot of cast changes in the end didn't hold it together that well. Even if it is one of the best comedies of all time. Yes bold statement, but it really is. A truly talented cast with all hard hitters up till almost the end. That's including what was to be the 9th season revival that couldn't take off. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Audience Member Season five is perhaps the best Scrubs has to offer with the best episode of the series short of the finale (My Lunch). This season focuses on J.D.'s relationship with Dr. Cox and less about Elliot, who changed hospitals only to change back. Turk and Carla also focus on having a baby. Everything that made Scrubs what it is is still in this season, but perhaps it's just getting a bit stale. Without major mix-ups of the cast structuring, it all gets redundant eventually. Still incredible television though. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Read all reviews
