What to Know

Critics Consensus

With symptoms like an influx of rookie cast members that never gel into a watchable ensemble and a comedic sensibility that feels terminally tired, the diagnosis is that creator Bill Lawrence and co. should have hung up their Scrubs a year earlier.

Ken Tucker Entertainment Weekly Scrubs is pushing the irritation envelope as it returns from the near dead in a revised form. Dec 1, 2009 Full Review Matthew Gilbert Boston Globe At this point, Scrubs has turned its original style into a formula; the fantasy sequences are more predictable, the earnest denouements are automatic. It's a good formula, but one that's no longer vibrant. Dec 1, 2009 Full Review Mike Hale New York Times The jokes don't catch fire in Tuesday night's opener, but by the second episode things are starting to click. Dec 1, 2009 Full Review Scotsman Staff Scotsman It wants to be something more profound than a cheesy sitcom, but everything's on the surface. Nov 8, 2019 Full Review Eric Hochberger TV Fanatic Saying goodbye to Scrubs for the third time was not nearly as hard as the first two times. And that's not to say we haven't been enjoying season nine, aka Scrubs med school, because once this series reboot found its stride, it's been good. Rated: 4.0/5.0 Nov 7, 2019 Full Review Will Harris Bullz-Eye.com I'm with [Bill] Lawrence: as far as I'm concerned, Scrubs ended with Season Eight. Looking at Season Nine as a whole, I'd have to say that he didn't succeed as well as he might've hoped. But, then again, I actually kind of liked "After M*A*S*H." Spicy B Sigh. Excited to see our most beloved characters again. Sad they weren't stars of this season and the baton of perfect hilarity + dramatic chemistry wasn't succesfully passed on as smoothly as a true fan could've hoped for. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 03/20/24 Full Review StephenPaul C The least funny final 13 episodes ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Why the f**king sh*t has Zack Braff left too late?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 05/04/23 Full Review K L The site seems to be broken. There was no 9th season of Scrubs. Scrubs ended after its phenomenal 8th season. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 01/25/23 Full Review Audience Member Świetny humor, który dzisiaj może być uważany za rasistowski/(dowolny przedrostek)fobiczny. S8 to pożegnanie z bohaterami i serialem. S9 inny, nieco słabszy Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Audience Member Has potential, and could have been refined over time to help the audience through transition. The score didn't say it's a bad show, but approaches can be tough online sometimes. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Audience Member I kind of enjoy the mash of new characters. Its not the classic like the past seasons. But still likeable. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Read all reviews
