What to Know

Critics Consensus

Though it's capable cast is clearly game, an over-reliance on gore and a grimly -- and at times comically -- convoluted narrative blurs See's boldvision.

Robert Rorke New York Post With obvious references to savior stories such as births of Christ and Moses, See is just strange and striking enough to persuade the slumming fantasy fan to go along for the ride. Nov 6, 2019 Full Review Mike Hale New York Times Care was taken in the hiring of performers and consultants to make the presentation of blindness convincing. But no one seems to have done the more difficult, and boring, work of really thinking through how to make the premise convincing onscreen. Nov 5, 2019 Full Review Allegra Frank Vox Game of Thrones sure wasn't perfect, but watching See in its wake offers an important reminder: A big budget and Jason Momoa's grizzled looks do not an engrossing show make. Rated: 1.5/5 Nov 1, 2019 Full Review Susan Granger www.susangranger.com Jason Momoa and Alfre Woodard propel a savage, strangely compelling sci-fi fantasy/drama, set in a dystopian future. Rated: 7/10 Aug 30, 2021 Full Review Prahlad Srihari Firstpost Its production, ambitions and incestual fixations are at par with Game of Thrones. Yet, it lacks the rich world-building, character-focused storytelling or vision to make it great. Jul 24, 2020 Full Review Jim Schembri 3AW As a piece of throwaway fantasy escapism, See offers a diverting off-road adventure, though it is aimed at adults. One imagines it would have been suitable for the family were it not for the unnecessary inclusion of graphic violence and swearing. Rated: 3/5 Apr 10, 2020 Full Review Read all reviews

Zack K Best of the 3 seasons. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 05/01/25 Full Review Nick A I get it and all but… meh. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 03/20/25 Full Review Bx G Just Finished Season 1, 5 ⭐s ! From Ep.1 you will be hooked! Look No Further 🙈 what you See, will Make SEE, A MUST SEE!👀 Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/08/25 Full Review LUIS LETACIO C Para uma primeira temporada, achei bem legal a ideia principal da série, a construção de personalidades foi muito boa e as batalhas foram muito bem construidas Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 01/30/25 Full Review Steven C Just finished season 1 and it’s utterly brilliant. 1) Compelling premise with unique worldbuilding; 2) incredible casting, with so many actors off whom I could not take my eyes; 3) lovely family element at its heart, I care about these characters; 4) mindblowing fight choreography. I do not understand the poor critic reviews, they’re plain wrong. See must be seen. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/28/25 Full Review Catherine N My partner and I (who was glued to the screen shortly after I started) enjoyed the whole series and was captivated by this series from the very beginning. The acting was phenomenal, and the world-building was fantastic. It's an absolute must-watch—a truly innovative narrative that takes viewers on an exhilarating journey. Not surprisingly, the critical reception didn't match the series' exceptional quality. The critics fundamentally misunderstood the show's brilliance, missing its nuanced storytelling and compelling performances. In short, their assessment couldn't be further from the truth. And is the reason why I continue to dismiss the critics review. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 11/29/24 Full Review Read all reviews
