James Dyer Empire Magazine Bold and bats--t in equal measure, See might not be the most accessible of shows, and its penchant for the bizarre is occasionally goofy, but the series boasts a rich tapestry of world-building and an expanding story with real emotional punch. Rated: 4/5 Sep 20, 2021 Full Review Tambay Obenson IndieWire The series gets good mileage out of watching the pair kill people in the most gory of ways, and beat each other up to bloody pulps. It's absolutely brutal, which obviously won't appeal to all. Rated: B Sep 20, 2021 Full Review Ed Cumming Independent (UK) It's The Road meets Game of Thrones meet Mad Max, except less good than that sounds. Rated: 2/5 Aug 27, 2021 Full Review Jonathan Roberts The New Paper (Singapore) If you can get past a perma-palette of cold greys, there is a lot to enjoy in this overlooked fantasy epic. Rated: 3.5/5 Sep 23, 2021 Full Review Alex Maidy JoBlo's Movie Network If you were all in on the first season, you will still love these new episodes. For anyone ambivalent, these chapters aren't going to change your mind. Rated: 7/10 Sep 9, 2021 Full Review Vincent Schilling Indian Country Today Are you kidding me? Jason Momoa and Dave Bautista in the same series is the formula for an action epic. And wow, do their guttural-voiced blind ramblings work in the best way. Audience Member Quite possibly the worst show on AppleTV. It's actually so bad and so corny that it's hard to believe AppleTV would back such a lame storyline and cheesy acting. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 06/23/24 Full Review Anton A Big improvement over season 1, the sighted aren't treated like superheroes. Character arcs, strong Batista villain, good battles. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 03/10/24 Full Review Brian B All I can say is, thank goodness for Baba and Tamacti, otherwise this show is completely unwatchable. Although I guess the fact that the writers make every other character so unlikeable is some kind of talent? Haniwa is the worst of them all. Bow Lion is the daughter that Baba should've had, instead of the always whining and complaining Haniwa. The sulking man-child Kofun is totally forgettable. Wren's character was good until they turned her from a soldier into a swooning lovergirl. The queen is obviously meant to be hated, but the way the writers continue to find "miraculous" ways to keep her from meeting her demise is just flat out cheap writing. All to try to make people keep watching in hopes that it finally happens (basically the Joffrey arc in GoT). And yet, when she's on the edge countless times and then at the last second gets bailed out, at some point is just comical rather than dramatic. What is the point to Charlotte? Comic relief? Because she provides very little comedy with her "witty" remarks. Paris was one of the better characters and deserved a more thought out ending than what she got. Almost like the writers knew she wasn't going to come back for season 3 and so they hastily made up a way to kill her off. Low quality storytelling at its finest. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/12/24 Full Review Wajahat Q I like the show in general but I was very offended when the 1st Episode started with a mockery towards Christianity and through that all religions, I really hope they didn't have gone so far. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 11/04/23 Full Review Edward M Great action scenes, good plot twist's and great cast. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 10/24/23 Full Review Artura D Not at all a fan of Baba's insufferable children (ESPECIALLY Haniwa, good lord), but I still loved to see Baba being the same as he's always been; the kind, loving and protective father who would do anything for his children. Lord Harlan's motives for his actions were a little confusing, aside from doing whatever he thinks will benefit him, and I ignored him the majority of the season. He seemed to lack a certain degree of consistency, or even a natural character arc that would have really benefitted my overall enjoyment. Queen Kane SUCKS, but she's supposed to and I don't mind crazy in villains. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 07/31/23 Full Review Read all reviews
