Malene Arpe Toronto Star In my opinion the most visually pleasing show on television is Smallville. Feb 13, 2020 Full Review Keith Austin Sydney Morning Herald As a former fan who became, a couple of seasons ago, mightily sick of Clark Kent mooning around Smallville like some sort of doe-eyed super Bambi, it was interesting to plunge into season six and find that Clark has moved on and ... hang on, no he hasn't. Feb 13, 2020 Full Review Brian Lowry Variety Despite the limitations of a TV budget, "Smallville" has always done a creditable job of bringing convincing production value to its hero- and villain-filled world. Jul 12, 2018 Full Review Wm. Steven Humphrey The Stranger (Seattle, WA) The unfortunate thing about Smallville -- other than its ludicrous plots and the complete inability of Tom "Superboy" Welling to act his way out of a wet tissue -- is that it can't go on much longer. Feb 13, 2020 Full Review Vic Holtreman Screen Rant Lots of twists and turns, but in a good way. Jul 13, 2018 Full Review Steve West CinemaBlend [The finale] was a solid episode that delivered quite a bit of fun, plus a number of references to the Donner films. Ed R The stories and villains are starting to drag on but it’s still a quality show! Rated 3 out of 5 stars 08/04/23 Full Review Audience Member definitely not weaker than season 4 but it has a few plot inconsistencies and lexana is the worst romance to bless television. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Audience Member this is when the show becomes overloaded with characters and starts to feel like filled episodes ALL the episodes. we discover oliver green is the green arrow. first he acted worse than lex luthor. after we realize he is a hero then he becomes instantly best friends with all clark's friends. zod shennanigans begins and kryptonian madness begins. lex start his plans to kill clark once he figures out what can kill him. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Audience Member I watched Smallville casually when it originally aired until somewhere in the fourth season. I tried watching it again, and gave up with season 6. This show has some of the most annoying characters in it that you wish would just die, and continue to be a nuisance. In season 1 it was Whitney, but I knew he wasn't around after that, so I put up with it. Completely unlikable. Then they actually did it again with Jason in season 4. In fact, that season made me hate Lana so much, I was hoping they would both just die or leave, yet she sticks around, and continues to add nothing to the series. Season 6 took the cake with Oliver, because he's as intolerable as Jason, and discovering he is around for more than one season was enough to make me quit watching.
