Lisa Schmeiser Bitch Media Sagal played the entire arc brilliantly, managing to transmit both what Gemma thought of herself and what she was really going through. And in doing so, she managed to effectively change the focus of the show. Dec 23, 2020 Full Review Heather Havrilesky Salon.com More often than not, the showdowns on Sons of Anarchy amount to a simple shoving match. Jul 16, 2019 Full Review Phelim O'Neill Guardian The season opener, Albification, rests comfortably in my mental top five list of standout TV episodes for 2010. Feb 19, 2019 Full Review Aundre Jacobs What Culture Albification is great because while the show is mostly known for its action and motorcycle chases, there's also a strong emotional element to it and this episode provides that for the entire season. Feb 19, 2019 Full Review Matt Richenthal TV Fanatic That one look he gave while on the phone with Jax is the perfect image to hold on to until the next season: though the Sons may have lost in the season finale, that bond has returned and it won't be long before they're back and stronger than ever. Feb 19, 2019 Full Review Doug Norrie CinemaBlend It was a brutal reintroduction to Sons of Anarchy and a reminder that no matter how bad SAMCRO may be, a more evil and disgusting force is out there willing to do anything in order to see them fall. Army H Season 2 brings the story deeper in Gemma’s perspective, and what she's going through. The acting and writing, once again, was perfect for this season. The action was carried by the story. And the season finale dewlls deep into the 3rd season. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 06/27/24 Full Review Regal R 70/100 - i really wanted to like this show, but its just so mediocre. prepare for "there's always something" the writers cant just let sleeping dogs lie. if every single decision has a plot twist, then its just as predictable as not having any plot twists. it just keeps you in this weird anxious feeling where you can never enjoy the show because you know there's always going to be some weird garbage. super predictable and cliche show. it has some bizarre moments that make you laugh but its not haha funny, its a "this is so bad" its funny. if you want some comfort food with a lot of boring drama this is for you Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 08/28/23 Full Review Benjamin H Although one part of the story was pushed too far, season 2 of Sons of Anarchy is a fierce, exhilarating and tumultuous continuation that has a fast-paced plot, a potent atmosphere and phenomenal character development ultimately making this an improvement over the first season. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 03/27/23 Full Review Jon D Phenomenal heart wrenching story. If you like crime dramas with a ton of action, this is for you. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/15/23 Full Review Audience Member 16m ago (Since I can't do a Review of the entire series and have to break into each Season I'm doing this cut and paste.) My absolute FAVORITE SHOW OF ALL TIME!!! I have seen this entire 7-season show more times than most would admit. Was drawn in when I heard Hunnam was hand-selected by Sam Taylor-Johnson to play Christian Grey. I had seen him in Abandon years before and wanted to catch another performance even though I was certain a show about an outlaw biker gang would not interest me. I turned on the Pilot episode and barely came up for air binge-watching the first FOUR seasons free on Netflix. After a few seconds of thinking I would not pay for Season Five I was processing my credit card. Then, I had to WAIT for the Sixth Season to air the following Fall! I told all my friends about the show and when they wanted to watch I had them over for binge sessions so we could watch together. That was a repeat occurrence many times! Why the obsession???? Everything! The story, the writing, the acting, the directing, AND the MUSIC!!!!! Seriously, this show has it all -- and there's an underlying dark humor that enables you to get through some of the gruesome stuff. Hunnam's performance is mesmerizing and brilliant -- and Katey Sagal is amazing! The rest of the cast - including guest stars are so good! Kurt Sutter is a genius and his ability to draw you into caring about people who do some really bad stuff is a matter of great writing and character development. This first season will lure you in with the Pilot episode and it just keeps getting better from there! This is a must watch and each time I saw it again I picked up new nuances. You know a show is great when you never get tired of watching it! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Audience Member Too many plot twists.
