Judy Berman TIME Magazine What's most refreshing is the way Olsen and the show's creator, playwright Kit Steinkellner, translate Leigh's grief into behavior that can be stunningly selfish and thoroughly understandable at once. Jan 2, 2019 Full Review Allison Keene Collider Sorry for Your Loss is an intense, emotionally raw meditation on grief. And yet, it's never overwhelming as much as engrossing. Rated: 5/5 Dec 15, 2018 Full Review Ben Travers IndieWire If you're going to ask an audience to wallow in tragedy, you better have a point to make, and Sorry for Your Loss has yet to find a fresh one. Rated: C- Dec 15, 2018 Full Review Anne Brodie What She Said It's raw and painful, and director James Ponsoldt makes no attempt to candy coat it for us, but it's not overbearing either. It's a humane look at someone in extraordinary circumstances and a reminder that Elizabeth Olsen is an extremely capable actor. Jul 6, 2022 Full Review Lauren Bradshaw Cloture Club Sorry For Your Loss is centered around a woman dealing with tragedy, but at its heart is anchored by a magnetic ensemble cast and phenomenal writing. Rated: A Jan 28, 2019 Full Review Pilot Viruet The Verge The result is a surprisingly engaging, remarkably well-written mediation on the different, less-celebrated ways to grieve. Aviv G I only watched this serious because I wanted more of Elizabeth Olsen after I've deen Love and Death. To my disappointment it quickly got into being a girl's soap opera, and I had to stop watching when ai realized she was going to get involved with his brother. Like, what are you doing, man? seriously?? It was also so not fitting the characters... sorry, but extremely lame Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 08/31/24 Full Review Sander L One of the best shows ever created, season 1 shows off everything inside grief. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/27/24 Full Review Mike R Parts of this first series hit home emotionally to the point I found it hard not to live it as I watched it, for this reason my perfect rating may be a little bias but for someone like me it was 100% emotionally riveting. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 05/26/23 Full Review Audience Member Elizabeth Olsen blows it out of the water with her spectacular acting on top of an already refreshingly down to earth and relatable plot. I especially loved how complex the story dives and the way we can change perspective and loom at not just Leigh's grief but others'. Camera work and color/vibrancy changes were subtle but effective in telling this story. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review carlos v Elizabeth Olsen delivers one of the best performances in recent times in this tragic and painful story which will have you crying your eyes out every episode Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Audience Member amazing act for olsen Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Read all reviews
