The animated series is not for children. In fact, its goal seems to be to offend as many as possible as it presents the adventures of Stan, Kyle, Kenny and Cartman. The show has taken on Saddam Hussein, Osama bin Laden, politicians of every stripe and self-important celebrities. Oh, and Kenny is killed in many episodes.

Hugh Scott CinemaBlend "Die Hippie, Die" is just classic, hilarious South Park, starring, of course, Cartman as a just terrible person, even though his threat assessment is correct. Jun 10, 2019 Full Review Stuart W. Bedford What Culture It's bold, it's revelatory and it's relevant, but most importantly, it's side-splittingly hilarious. Sep 16, 2013 Full Review Bill Gibron PopMatters Still going strong after eight seasons... South Park is the sole show on basic cable that completely understands how to do satire. Pickatcu 1 If I die and they don't give me a golden Keanu Reeves statue too, I won't be worth dying for then. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 09/27/23 Full Review Sean M South Park season 9 once again outdoes its previous season. This season has the longest streak of great episodes spanning from episode 1 to 14 all being great and funny. There isn't much to say because animation and humor is mostly the same as season 8 but is just a little bit more consistent with being good. The season also is a bit of a breath of fresh air as in the episode "Best Friends Forever" Kenny actually is the central character after being abandoned as a character since season 6, in the episode "The Death of Eric Cartman" Eric also gets his own redemption episode where he is actually very likable co-starring Butters making it a really good episode. The top and funniest episode of the season has to be "Erection Day" that takes a normal part of life and makes it cringeworthingly crass and over the top for an absolutely hilarious time being self centered on Jimmy. South Park once again creates another amazing season while it keeps improving in quality making for a very satisfyingly funny and well thought out season with some of its best stories and jokes ever written for the show.
