Adapted from the New York Times bestselling novels by Robyn Carr, "Sullivan's Crossing" follows the journey of neurosurgeon Maggie Sullivan, whose perfectly planned life is turned upside down after finding herself in unexpected legal troubles. Needing time to reflect, she temporarily leaves her life in Boston and takes refuge in her childhood home of Sullivan's Crossing, a campground in picturesque Nova Scotia that is run by her estranged father, Sully. There, she must deal with her complicated present while she also navigates her painful past. Further complicating matters is a mysterious newcomer whose presence ultimately leads Maggie to question her carefully laid plans.

Jackie K. Cooper jackiekcooper.com If you love "Virgin River" you will love "Sullivan's Crossing". Rated: 7/10 Nov 28, 2023 Full Review Neely Swanson Easy Reader (California) We’ve all seen it before. This is “Northern Exposure” if it had been made for the Hallmark Channel. Nov 1, 2023 Full Review Joly Herman Common Sense Media Sullivan's Crossing does a decent job of transporting the viewer to a tight-knit Canadian coastal community, but the chemistry among characters builds at arm's length. Rated: 3/5 Oct 18, 2023 Full Review Joel Keller Decider If you’ve been hankering for another heaping helping of slow-moving, romantic drama a la Virgin River, then Sullivan’s Crossing should help satisfy that craving. Audience Member The first season was ok developing characters were somewhat interesting, and the backdrop was very serene and pleasant. I was looking forward to season 2. But the second season is like watching paint dry while someone scratches their nails on a chalk board. The daughter from Boston has turned into a crying whining child. I want to fix the strand of hair that is out of place on Chad Michael Murray's character it is so distracting, and any chemistry that Maggie and Cal had is gone. The restaurant owner who doesn't pay any attention to his child is so annoying. And now Sully is stuck in a hospital babbling like a loon...I'm checking out of Sullivans Crossing ... Rated 1 out of 5 stars 10/14/24 Full Review Veliswa Z What I loved about this show was the lack of profanity and nudity. It was so refreshing to watch something that is clean Rated 4 out of 5 stars 04/17/24 Full Review Damario W Sullivan's Crossing is not my cup of tea, but fans of that Netflix show Virgin River (made by the same people, by the way) might enjoy similar vibes with this. The premise does have potential. The story touches on redemption and self-discovery. The character of Maggie experiences moments of clarity and self-discovery that help her accept her past mistakes and move forward. I'm sure that as the show progresses, she will face difficult decisions and consequences. And by the end, she will understand the importance of family and love and choose to follow her heart. You know, the usual for these types of shows. Also, the cast is fine. Morgan Kohan and Scott Patterson do show promise, but Chad Michael Murray's character feels a bit cliché. He's just there to be eye candy (like everything The CW throws at us). But I'm sure his character will progress in later episodes. In closing, would I watch another episode? Kind of?! I don't watch these shows. They're so overemotional. This feels like a Hallmark Channel series but with a higher budget. Plus, it's on The CW. They don't consistently market their imports (Kudos to the 10 Americans who will enjoy Everyone Else Burns! You know that show will get canned). I'm surprised they hype this up like crazy, even though they didn't make it. But if you miss the old days of The CW's predecessors (The WB or UPN), you might enjoy some nostalgic vibes with this (it's got two of the network's original actors in here, come on). With a second season on the way, this looks like it will be an instant sleeper hit. It may not attract a massive audience like Virgin River, but it has potential.
