In the 1980s, geeky Adam uses a video camera to document his family's crazy life. His mother, Beverly, is overprotective and lacks boundaries, while his dad has a hot temper and finds it difficult to parent without screaming. Rounding out the clan are Adam's terrifying sister, Erica; his older brother, Barry, who has middle-child syndrome; and the family's beloved grandfather, Al "Pops" Solomon. Pops is responsible for wild antics, including offering drinks to Barry and teaching Adam about the ways of love -- which create more chaos in an already high-strung family.

Tyler K A little bit more repetitive and it feels like they've already done most of this but sill pretty funny 7/10 Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 10/18/22 Full Review Tim This season was solid but continues the tone change and the show feels different. Still a great family show but the comedy has changed but not really in a good or fitting way. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 09/23/22 Full Review Audience Member Good first few seasons, but getting to be boring and annoying. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Audience Member I really liked the first few seasons, but it is just the same story lines over and over. Gets annoying watching the mom smother her kids for 7 seasons. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Audience Member I am still in love with this show even though it has been a little less funny this season. Wendi McLendon-Covey's performance still steals the show as always and her performance keeps this show going, she is amazing. Sean Giambrone, Jeff Garlin, George Segal, and Sam Lerner gave fantastic supporting performances. The writing is funny as always but a little less funny than previous seasons. The costume designs are outstanding like every season especially the ones wore by Wendi McLendon-Covey and Hayley Orrantia. The music featured in the show is terrific. Season 7 was overall really great and entertaining. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Audience Member Nerdy boy likes popular girl. Boy tries to be cool to get girl. Girl is straight laced and doesn't like boy acting different. Girl tells boy to be himself. Boy acts like himself. Boy gets girl. They actually paid someone to write this dribble. Or rather steal this same unoriginal story from teen movie after teen movie. Adam Goldberg has run out of ideas and Season 7 should be the final season. Please end the misery.
