Daniel D'Addario Variety The Jennifer Hudson Show is vague, steering clear not merely of politics or of Hudson’s innermost personal life, which would be completely expected, but from any tension or interest as well. Sep 19, 2022 Full Review Coleman Spilde The Daily Beast hat I expected to be the latest flop in a string of failed talk show attempts by everyone from RuPaul to Jerry O’Connell was actually a pleasant surprise that was as amusing as it was gratifying. Meri C 2024: it seems that "J. Hud" really has the southern accent + phrases & movements down! I don't know why, but she's pronouncing words & phrases differently ie: "dorter instead of daughter" "axe instead of ask" etc. & she seems a little too snotty/housewify for a talk Show host. Really?! she won't stand up for her guests? I can almost hear her rolling her eyes. I am NOT a fan anymore. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/10/24 Full Review Loasia F I wanted to like this show, however, there's nothing genuine about it. Most very uncomfortable. She doesn't connect with her guests. The Khloe Kardashian was probably the worst I've seen how uncomfortable Jennifer, I think you should stick to singing Rated 1 out of 5 stars 11/15/23 Full Review Alisa M This is horrible television. I don't know which is worse, this or Drew Barrymore's show. Please stick in your lane with singing and some acting but please stop this show. When it comes on TV, I have to turn it off because everything she does and says just makes me loose both respect and interest in her. Not to mention, I feel like my brain cells die with each word she says. Her voice and style of talking is trashy. This shouldn't be rewarded with a prime-time TV show. Is this only happening because of the writers' strike? Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 10/24/23 Full Review Ivelissa E This is a positive/constructive comment: I love Jennifer Hudson as a singer and as an actor, but as a TV show host, in my opinion, she does very poorly… Jennifer's personality does not have the finest, voice and/or professional persona that is required as a TV show host… good effort, but Jennifer, please go back to what you do best (signing and acting)… the TV show host gig is hurting your brand. Be blessed. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 10/23/23 Full Review Shawn D Jennifer Hudson is an amazing seeing talent and in my personal opinion has a beautiful inspiring personality. That being said.... Talk show host is not natural for her. The show is forced it doesn't flow she doesn't seem genuinely interested and doesn't know how to engage in actual conversations. I think she's trying to relate with the adaptation of the southern slang and accent but it seems forced and overdone. She seems to have a feel that she is not being allowed or is unable to be herself. This show does not have longevity but I know she'll find another niche that she will excel in. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 10/12/23 Full Review Kimberly R Can I use a negative what a horrible show. I enjoy NBC but switch off during this horrible show Rated 1 out of 5 stars 09/27/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
