Kylie Northover The Age (Australia) Unthreading over the season, this storyline builds into something very much of the moment, but it's done with a light touch. Sep 28, 2020 Full Review Allison Keene Paste Magazine It makes you care, truly, about what happens to these women, and what is at stake in their lives. May 20, 2020 Full Review Camilla Long Times (UK) It is addictive. Feb 18, 2020 Full Review Euan Ferguson Observer (UK) A welcome return for Abi Morgan's The Split, even though the first episode of series two might fall foul of those too willing to decry it as too huggily privileged middle-class. Feb 19, 2020 Full Review Christopher Stevens Daily Mail (UK) Trashy telly isn't fattening, thankfully, or else every slice of the legal drama The Split would contain more calories than battered banoffee pie. With a side order of chips. Rated: 4/5 Feb 12, 2020 Full Review Adam Sweeting The Arts Desk Its legal storylines are counterpointed against episodes of sentimentality and self-congratulation, as if it wanted to be The Good Wife but ended up as Doctors. Richard F I’ve come to this series late. Very late! Series 1 was absolutely superb; brilliantly written, superbly acted, great camera work and a score that was absolutely on point with the drama. I assumed that series 2 would, as is normally the case, fall short. How wrong I was. The six episodes of series 2 make up unquestionably the finest 6 hours of television drama that I have ever seen. Perhaps my life experiences over a long term marriage (still very much together!) that have aspects in common with The Split enhanced my empathy and understanding. And most certainly made me appreciate the utterly brilliant script and acting. Outstanding. Completely outstanding. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/03/25 Full Review lilly g Rarely do shows match a wonderful first season, but this second season is even better since you're more invested in the characters. Absolutely amazing. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Diane M Brilliant acting. The British can do it right. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 08/25/22 Full Review Audience Member Quite brilliant. A really intelligent, brilliantly written, superbly acted, adult piece of television. What a contrast to so much shallow soap opera out there. More please. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Audience Member Loved this show, the tension between Christie and Hannah and Nathan. I hope there will be a season 3, but things seem to be unraveling. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Audience Member Season 2 better than Season 1 and I loved Season 1! This drama is so in keeping with the times, really examining that we evolve as individuals, never say never... Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Read all reviews
