What to Know

Critics Consensus

The Twilight Zone explores the strangeness of the modern world through Rod Serling's winning formula, creating a thought-provoking -- if not always spine-tingling -- showcase for Jordan Peele and his exceptional crop of collaborators.

Kylie Northover The Age (Australia) Peele, who appears "inside" these tales as the narrator, balances contemporary political concerns with an obvious affection for Serling's work; it might not be as bleak as his horror films, but there's just enough darkness in his dimension. Rated: 4/5 Oct 22, 2021 Full Review Leila Latif Little White Lies This revival hits far more than it misses. Sep 29, 2020 Full Review Lucy Mangan Guardian It's The Twilight Zone as if written in a twilight sleep. Rated: 2/5 Feb 26, 2020 Full Review Bill Brioux Brioux.tv Basically Twilight Zone for the Scary Movie generation. Nov 5, 2022 Full Review Pat Stacey The Herald (Ireland) I've watched the first three. Sadly, they're all squibs of varying degrees of dampness. 'Nightmare at 30,000 Feet', a very loose reworking of one of the most famous Serling episodes, 'Nightmare at 20,000 Feet', is the weakest. Feb 27, 2020 Full Review María Fernanda Mugica La Nación (Argentina) The Twilight Zone has some entertaining episodes that achieve a certain element of surprise. Tym M Oh man, I hate that I hated this, I was so looking forward to this, and then I heard it was by Peele, and I was completely bummed. I get it, the world sucks and people suck, but this was written with an agenda. Why not mask your agenda like Rod did. This is like reading a book about why you should love dogs and finding out the book is about lovable dogs. Peele's name on something only means you will get a social justice lesson that 9 out of 10 times, doesn't even hit the mark. The only thing worse than this, was that they put the Twilight Zone name on it. It will forever stain it now. No longer can you say, I saw every iteration and liked them. I hate that I hated this. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 10/05/24 Full Review Vic S Engaging and stellar. Loved episode 3 "Replay" A real stand-out! Series is a great showcase for Jordan Peele. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 05/07/24 Full Review Edwin Ivn R Es muy buena, denle la oprtunidad abran su mente Rated 5 out of 5 stars 06/30/23 Full Review Gareth v This reboot lacks the mystery and intrigue that made the original a must watch despite the cast's best efforts. Disappointing. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 06/17/23 Full Review Mario C Can't hold a candle to the original. Poorly acted and worse script. Dumped it after 3 episodes. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 05/15/23 Full Review Stoner J The complete opposite of the original (i.e. not good). The writing just totally sucks and stories are lame Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/11/23 Full Review Read all reviews
