Based on the comic book series written by Robert Kirkman, this gritty drama portrays life in the months and years that follow a zombie apocalypse. A group of survivors travel in search of safety and security, constantly on the move in search of a secure home. But the pressure each day to stay alive sends many in the group to the deepest depths of human cruelty, and they soon discover that the overwhelming fear of the survivors can be more deadly than the zombies walking among them. At times, the interpersonal conflicts present a greater threat to their continuing survival than the walkers that roam the country.

William Thomas Empire Magazine After Season 2's bucolic interlude, The Walking Dead's third year brings more action Rated: 3/5 Nov 2, 2017 Full Review Willa Paskin Salon.com There are moments of creepy elegance and elegiac morbidity in The Walking Dead that no show on TV can match. Oct 14, 2012 Full Review Brian Lowry Variety AMC can rest easy. Because Walking Dead is clearly a series with a whole lot of life left in it. Oct 14, 2012 Full Review Dorothy Woodend The Tyee (British Columbia) But nothing has been quite as useful or as long-serving as our old friends the great undead. If you require further convincing, simply witness the wonder that is AMC's series The Walking Dead. Aug 17, 2017 Full Review Claudia Connell Daily Mail (UK) It's atmospheric, tense and definitely not for the faint-hearted. But jumping out of your skin half a dozen times and desperately trying to fathom who's a secret zombie was more fun than you might think. Rated: 3/5 Aug 11, 2017 Full Review Rebecca Barry Hill New Zealand Herald The success of a zombie thriller relies on its ability to surprise within its predictable constraints. To that end, The Walking Dead has fun. May 19, 2016 Full Review Read all reviews

Chaos A 🏆87% The Walking Dead Season 3 is, in my opinion, almost as good as Season 2! The Walking Dead Season 2 might have higher peaks, but I do have to say, Season 3 is overall the more consistent season. Previously, my favorite character of the series was Daryl, but after watching this season, I think my favorite character might be Carl. I love the development that his character has gone through this season, and at the moment, I think he might be the most well-written character in the series. The episode that truly starts developing his character is episode 4, and that is easily for me the best episode of the season. Overall, I enjoyed The Walking Dead Season 3, and I’m excited to see what’s in store for Season 4! EPISODES RANKED: 1. Killer Within 2. Made to Suffer 3. Clear 4. Seed 5. This Sorrowful Life 6. Home 7. Sick 8. When the Dead Come Knocking 9. Welcome to the Tombs 10. The Suicide King 11. Hounded 12. Walk with Me 13. Say the Word 14. Arrow on the Doorstep 15. I Ain’t a Judas 16. Prey Rated 4 out of 5 stars 04/10/25 Full Review Pedro Henrique C In this season 3 we had several losses. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 04/05/25 Full Review SkyRo P In this review, I’m going to encapsulate my thoughts on the first seven seasons of The Walking Dead, which I've thoroughly enjoyed. The inaugural season was nothing short of phenomenal; it expertly developed the characters and wove an engaging narrative filled with unexpected twists that kept viewers riveted. The storytelling was complemented by remarkable character arcs, which allowed us to witness the harrowing reality of a world overrun by zombies. It was a season that truly kept you on the edge of your seat. The second season maintained that high standard, further expanding the world and allowing us to delve deeper into the characters’ lives. The sudden, heartbreaking deaths of beloved characters made us feel deeply invested in their journeys, often leaving us emotionally shattered. Yet, amidst the despair, there was a glimmer of hope that set the stage for the events to come in season three. As we moved into season three, new families and camps emerged, contributing to the series' rich world-building. This season demanded your full attention, as it was filled with intense moments that would leave you gasping. It’s remarkable how, even after three seasons, the show continued to captivate and engage its audience. Season four kept the momentum going with thrilling adventures, shocking deaths, and the introduction of new characters alongside our familiar favorites. The stakes were ever higher, and the unpredictability of each episode had us on a rollercoaster of emotions, wondering what fate awaited our beloved characters. It was an exhilarating season that left viewers eager for more. Seasons five and six mirrored each other in their ability to expand the plot while maintaining the audience's investment in the characters. The layers of complexity grew thicker, introducing creative new threats and moments of heart-wrenching sadness. Although season six experienced a slight dip in intensity, it remained engaging enough to keep viewers hooked through the series' first six installments. Moving into season seven, while it still contributed to the overarching narrative and continued to build this expansive world, it felt like the weakest link in the chain. Although it wasn’t a bad season, it lacked the spark of its predecessors and left me wondering if the series was at risk of losing its momentum. After completing season seven, I found myself hesitant to dive straight into season eight. I felt too invested to walk away, yet I needed a pause to ensure I wouldn’t start to sour on the franchise I had come to love. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 03/21/25 Full Review Brandon S My personal favorite season of TWD. Governor is probably my favorite villain in the show so far, but I just got to S7 so we'll see if I like Negan more. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/20/25 Full Review Nad B I remember that back at the time it Was horrible for me to wait till the end for summer break It was always an agony dont know what some character will experience after Rated 5 out of 5 stars 11/13/24 Full Review Alex M This season of TWD is one of my favorite seasons in the entirety of the show. During the time that the group spent at the prison, many would agree the show peaked. Seeing the characters come together to defeat one of the best antagonists in the show, the Governor, was very cool to see. This season also introduces Michonne, who is one of the best characters in the show. To conclude, this season is very captivating and entertaining and is certainly a must-watch.
