This fast-paced and stunt-filled motor show tests whether cars, both mundane and extraordinary, live up to their manufacturers' claims; the long-running show travels to locations around the world, performing extreme stunts and challenges to see what the featured cars are capable of doing; celebrity guests appear on some episodes to help test the vehicles; things don't always go as planned, though, with broken bones and mechanical mishaps sometimes part of the experiments; Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May hosted the show for more than a decade before giving way to a new crew in 2016, including Chris Harris, Paddy McGuinness and Freddie Flintoff.

Ed Power Daily Telegraph (UK) It's as if TG has reverted to being a reasonably entertaining programme about expensive cars. Rated: 4/5 Mar 22, 2019 Full Review Hugo Rifkind Times (UK) LeBlanc is fine, but he's still Matt Le bloody Blanc. He is the expensive hubcap, the chrome finish, the midlife crisis. Blame history, and don't blame him, but he's the bit that means it is all still trying a bit too hard. Mar 5, 2018 Full Review Carol Midgley Times (UK) LeBlanc, after the Friends years, has good comic timing and a nicely understated delivery, while the other two seem relaxed in his company. Rated: 4/5 Mar 1, 2018 Full Review Alistair McGeorge Digital Spy It's a hilarious, ludicrous and highly entertaining finale to what has been a fantastic series of Top Gear. Mar 22, 2019 Full Review Ben Dowell Radio Times If the trio relax and let their exchanges flow naturally, then they may well have found the essence of the show.
