Kelly Lawler USA Today Diversifying the cuisine, from Pan-African to Native American, made the reality series feel not only fresh but vital. Dec 29, 2021 Full Review Alison Herman The Ringer Gradually, almost imperceptibly, Top Chef outgrew this template and set it aside. The kinds of chefs who succeeded on the show began to diversify, and while the conflict never disappeared, it was also balanced by mutual respect. Jul 3, 2021 Full Review Kevin Fallon The Daily Beast I can't remember the last time I thought a season of a reality competition series was this good. And 18 seasons in, which is just remarkable. Obviously I cried at least once an episode. Jul 6, 2021 Full Review Read all reviews

Audience Member I have always watched and loved all of the Top Chef shows. This season 18 Top Chef Portland has been great but the judging is very unfair. For some reason, the judges keep forgiving Dawn who for 2 weeks in a row not plated all her food. This week they sent Jamie home when Dawn for the 2nd time left off ingredients on her plate. They were to present cheese 5 ways and Dawn did not she had 3 cheese sauces and did not complete the elimination challenge. Dawn should have gone home for 2 weeks in a row. VERY UNFAIR.
