Romey Norton Film Focus Online As a whole this series is a sweet, wholesome, easy show about love, friendship and family. The characters are likeable and their charm will hook you as a viewer. Rated: 3/5 Jul 22, 2024 Full Review Gissane Sophia Lady Geeks Media Ultimately, these final two episodes prove the show can be good if it sticks to the romance and character dynamics, forgoing the crime drama it’s trying hard to mimic. Nov 30, 2023 Full Review Jackie K. Cooper jackiekcooper.com That ole "Virgin River" it just keeps rollin along. Rated: 6/10 Oct 7, 2023 Full Review Liz Kocan Decider ... hazel may l This show is so calming, relaxing. So wholesome and I love it. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 10/10/24 Full Review La Toya H I don't come looking for reviews from others until I start feeling some type of way-usually bad or disappointed after a while to see if it's just me! However, it's not. I'm on season 4 and it's starting to get really boring. I'm so sick of hearing about Mel and what she use to have. That she got pregnant a day after she got IVF but it didn't work the entire time after she lost her baby and was married!! The show made sure the constant tears from her were there. What a miracle.I'm upset that Charmaine is just now showing that she's pregnant after 4 seasons. That Hope is still so miserable and mean.. to everyone!!!! after an accident. Boredom has set in. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 12/29/23 Full Review BELLA M Virgin river started out really good, but this is the slowest moving series I've ever watched. They will be too old for children by the time 1 year passes. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 10/14/23 Full Review SkyRo P This show is utterly mesmerizing; it draws you in and makes you yearn to be part of this charming small town. Much like the setting of Virgin River, it gives off a vibe that once you arrive, you won’t want to leave. The emotional connection it fosters is truly remarkable. Mel is perfectly cast in her role, showcasing exceptional character development that resonates throughout the series. It’s a delight to see Annette O'Toole as Hope again. While her character may be a bit irritating, that’s exactly the point—she fits seamlessly into the ensemble. Even if you’re unfamiliar with some of the cast, you can’t help but feel a desire to know them and to be included in their close-knit community. Characters like Vernon and Jack may leave you uncertain about your feelings toward them, but as the story unfolds, you begin to empathize with their journeys. Preacher, along with the rest of the cast, delivers phenomenal performances that enhance the overall experience. I wholeheartedly recommend diving into Virgin River—you won’t regret it. This series captures your attention from the very start, especially during the thrilling moments of the first season, making you feel fully engaged with the characters and their lives. The second season continues to captivate, building on the foundation laid in the first and introducing new faces, like Preacher, who steps into a more significant role. The drama, tension, and unexpected twists will leave you eager to learn more about these characters and what lies ahead. However, the third season falls short, feeling somewhat lackluster and confusing. It left me questioning whether the series could regain its momentum, as the storylines seemed stagnant and disconnected, leading me to believe it might be the end. Fortunately, season four reignites the spark, pulling you back in with captivating story arcs, and season five builds on that momentum beautifully. The growth of the characters and the re-emergence of vital storylines that were lacking in season three create a rich viewing experience, particularly with the unfolding drama surrounding Preacher and the murder in town. Season six picks up where the previous seasons left off, presenting breathtaking moments alongside some of the most heart-wrenching scenes that make you feel the impending conclusion of the series. It’s a beautifully crafted story filled with unforgettable moments, and the creators have done a remarkable job throughout the entire series. I genuinely encourage you to take the time to watch all the seasons because it truly is an extraordinary show. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/02/25 Full Review Kirsten B I binge watched the first five seasons in a row and where the first few seasons started strong, the fifth seasons seems to tapper off in continuation. I feel similar things have happened in other shows in which the likelihood of events really occurring is getting less and less believable once the seasons continue. Mel's loss is broadly explored within the season. However, the losses of Jack are brushed over quickly. A missed opportunity to give Jack's character more depth. Nevertheless, the final cliffhanger will continue to have the audience captured and patiently waiting for season 6. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 10/02/23 Full Review wendy c Same old story lines. Could have been so much better with newer characters and/or with new twists. So boring; had to stop watching season 5. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 09/22/23 Full Review Read all reviews
