John Doyle Globe and Mail It's a brilliant BBC mockumentary series that mocks the BBC relentlessly. The great thing about W1A is that it portrays an organization that is just batty and yet entirely plausible. Jul 16, 2020 Full Review Rupert Hawksley Daily Telegraph (UK) It hasn't really changed a jot in three series and the concept is, frankly, tired. Rated: 2/5 Apr 22, 2019 Full Review Sam Wollaston Guardian Brilliant, hurrah, [and] joyous. Apr 22, 2019 Full Review James Walton The Spectator As usual, enjoying W1A's pin-sharp, side-of-the-angels satire was undercut by just one thing: the thought that somewhere in the real BBC there'll be people wondering if all this doesn't sound like rather a good idea (going forward). Sep 5, 2018 Full Review Louis Wise Sunday Times (UK) Some set pieces fall flat, but it is still good at skewering inane jargon and corporate blah -- incarnated, at its very worst-best, by the sublime Siobhan (Jessica Hynes).
