Carl Smith
Carl Smith, a talented musician, produced music for many Hollywood productions. Smith began his entertainment career with his music featured in films like the action picture "Jumpin' Jack Flash" (1986) with Whoopi Goldberg, the drama "Light of Day" (1987) with Michael J. Fox and the Bill Murray box office smash comedy sequel "Ghostbusters II" (1989). His music also appeared in the drama "Vital Signs" (1990) with Adrian Pasdar and "Mo' Better Blues" (1990). In addition to his music, Smith appeared in the crime flick "Killpoint" (1984) with Leo Fong. In the nineties, Smith's music continued to appear on the silver screen, including in films like the Whoopi Goldberg blockbuster musical comedy "Sister Act" (1992) and the Michael J. Fox comedy "For Love Or Money" (1993). Smith's music was also featured in "The Bachelor" (1999) with Chris O'Donnell, "The Hurricane" (1999) with Denzel Washington and the Bruce Willis comedic fantasy "Disney's The Kid" (2000). His music was also featured in the comedy "Death to Smoochy" (2002) with Robin Williams. Smith's music was most recently featured in "Date Night" (2010) with Steve Carell. In addition to his music, Smith also appeared on-screen in the Daiva Deupree dramedy "Gavin's Way" (2001). Smith passed away in January 2010 at the age of 83.
