Douglas Turner Ward was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. Ward's early roles were in dramas like "Man and Boy" (1972) starring Bill Cosby and "Go Tell It on the Mountain" (1984) starring Paul Winfield. He had a part on the television special "The First Breeze of Summer" (PBS, 1975-76). He also landed a role in the miniseries "The Women of Brewster Place" (1988-89). In the eighties and the early 2000s, Ward worked on predominantly television shows such as "The Cosby Show" (1984-1992), "Law & Order" (NBC, 1990-2010) and "Cosby" (CBS, 1996-2000). Ward most recently appeared in "For Love of Olivia" (CBS, 2000-01). Douglas Turner Ward died on February 20, 2021 in Manhattan, NY at the age of 90.
