Geraldine Peroni
Up and coming film editor has moved to the forefront of her profession through her collaboration with maverick filmmaker Robert Altman. Peroni started as an assistant sound editor on Mike Nichols' "Heartburn" (1986). She quickly became an assistant editor on John Sayles' "Matewan" (1987), Martin Scorsese's "The Last Temptation of Christ" (1988) and his "Life Lessons" segment of the 1989 omnibus film, "New York Stories" (both under the supervision of the celebrated Thelma Schoonmaker). Peroni graduated to editor with Robert Altman's "Vincent and Theo" (1990). Her next major credit was "The Player" (1992), for which she reeled in an Oscar nomination.
