Harold Vermilyea
Harold Vermilyea was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. Vermilyea kickstarted his acting career in various films such as the Alan Ladd spy picture "O.S.S." (1946), the dramatic adaptation "Gentleman's Agreement" (1947) with Gregory Peck and the drama "Beyond Glory" (1948) with Alan Ladd. He also appeared in "Sorry, Wrong Number" (1948). His film career continued throughout the forties in productions like the thriller "The Big Clock" (1948) with Ray Milland, "The Emperor Waltz" (1948) and "The Miracle of the Bells" (1948). He also appeared in "Chicago Deadline" (1949) with Alan Ladd. Film continued to be his passion as he played roles in "Manhandled" (1949), "Born to Be Bad" (1950) with Joan Fontaine and "Edge of Doom" (1950). Vermilyea more recently acted in the Tom Ewell comedy "Finders Keepers" (1952). Vermilyea passed away in January 1958 at the age of 69.
