Jacques Sigurd
Scripted, adapted, or wrote dialogue for several important post-WWII French films, including "Dedee d'Anvers" (1949) and "The Cheat" (1950), both of which helped make a star out of Simone Signoret. "Riptide" (1949), directed by Yves Allegret, is considered his finest work.
