Samuel Ramey

Samuel Ramey was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. He appeared in a number of television specials, including "The Barber of Seville" (1976-77), "Manon" (PBS, 1977-78) and "Rossini at Versailles" (PBS, 1985-86). He also appeared in "The Night of Music: A Global Celebration" (PBS, 1986-87) and "Carmen" (PBS, 1986-87). He also contributed to a variety of television specials, including "Great Moments From the Met" (1989-1990), "Flicka and Friends: From Rossini to "Show Boat"" (PBS, 1989-1990) and "Mefistofele From the San Francisco Opera" (PBS, 1990-91). Additionally, he could be seen on a variety of television specials like "On the Town in Concert" (1993-94), "I Lombardi" (PBS, 1993-94) and "The Richard Tucker Opera Gala: American Voices" (PBS, 1993-94). He also appeared in "Richard Tucker All Italian Opera Gala" (PBS, 1994-95) and "James Levine 25th Anniversary Gala" (PBS, 1995-96). Ramey most recently voiced characters in "Over the Garden Wall" (2014).
