Stephen Monroe Taylor

A television series called "American Dreams" helped Stephen Monroe Taylor with his acting dream. To date, he has appeared in various shows for the small screen as well as movies of the blockbuster pedigree, including the hugely-successful 2011 action sequel "Transformers: Dark of the Moon." But it was a recurring part in "American Dreams," a family drama set in 1960s Philadelphia that aired during the early 2000s, which gave Taylor his first exposure. More television work followed, and then in '07, he was cast in the comedy film "Mr. Woodcock," which was a modest success. From that point on until the end of the decade, he alternated between television and movies, appearing in episodes of the series "Bones" and "Heroes," while collaborating with big-name directors such as Spike Lee, David Fincher, and Tony Scott in the films "Miracle at St. Anna," "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button," and "Unstoppable." For the most part, the roles have been small, but having a proven hit like the aforementioned "Transformers" sequel on his resume surely doesn't hurt. During the '10s, Taylor's credits also include the romantic drama "Water for Elephants," a recurring role in the geek-girl television show "Awkward Embraces," and providing the voice of a supporting character in the critically-acclaimed video game "L.A. Noire."
