Truly Shattuck
Truly Shattuck made her mark in the world of entertainment when she acted in "Beauty's Worth" (1922). In 1896, she made her first New York vaudeville appearance at Tony Pastor's theater. In 1897, she landed her first major role as Mephisto in "Very Little Faust and Much Marguerite" at Hammerstein's Olympia Theatre. In 1904, she made her Broadway debut as Celestine in the musical "An English Daisy" at the Casino Theatre. In 1915, she made her screen debut in the silent film "The Iron Strain."
