Brian Bisesi Horror Movie Club Podcast Most notable for Tom Savini’s excellent practical effects, The Prowler was also written and photographed with more care than many of its peers. Despite an underwhelming third act, this film stands out as one of the highlights of the slasher subgenre. Rated: 3.5/5 Mar 27, 2024 Full Review Alan Jones Starburst We're on familiar ground once again with all the stock-in-trade elements... but under Joseph Zito's taut and atmospheric direction it all comes together in a neat, well put together package. Jul 28, 2022 Full Review Kellie Haulotte 1428 Elm While it does get lost in the mix of the others slashers of the decade, The Prowler is still worth the watch. Fans of the slasher genre will appreciate the movie the most! Dec 6, 2018 Full Review Tim Brayton Antagony & Ecstasy A film with these specific strengths ought to be at least worth it for the [slasher] genre faithful, and it is - but it is solely for the faithful. Rated: 4/10 Jul 25, 2015 Full Review Felix Vasquez Jr. Cinema Crazed Another of the fine collaborations between Tom Savini and Joseph Zito, both of whom know how to deliver damn fine slasher fare. Jun 25, 2014 Full Review James Kendrick Q Network Film Desk a better-than-expected entry into that most despised of genres Rated: 2.5/4 Jul 26, 2010 Full Review Read all reviews

TiffyBeSoRandom M Aside from the deus ex machina ending (which still doesn't make sense to me) and the at times slow pace. I love how this movie was written and shot. However it did feel like the night in movie would go on forever. I couldn't tell how much time had passed which probably helped the movie since I didn't have a chance to think about how the killer could be in so many places at once since I once again couldn't tell how much time had passed. The movie had some moments that I thought was genuinely funny. Despite the many characters the script had to choose from only a few died, however I did like the death scenes, they were creative. I deeply enjoyed the first 10 minutes, the story was set up very quickly yet very believably. The following story, our main story, doesn't quite make sense to me and how they killer moved the bodies is besides me. This is my first watch and I'd say this movie still holds up years later. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 10/14/23 Full Review KerryWhite's S Rating: 7/10. 70/100 Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 10/03/23 Full Review Serge C A bit slow but totally underrated 80's slasher flick! Great killer & brilliantly vicious kills by the legendary Savini! Written by one of the Hanna-Barbera dudes yabba dabba doo! 🍿🍿🍿1/2 Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 06/26/23 Full Review Alexander B This movie was really predictable and clichéd even for the time it came out. They're are also some big plot 🕳s that are never explained. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 04/23/23 Full Review Computey D I mean it has great kills, but its boring and too similar to My Bloody Valentine to be one of my favorites. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/27/23 Full Review Braven B The killer surprised me at the end. Great watch Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/27/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
