In the wake of her grandmother's funeral, hotel manager Lisa Reisert (Rachel McAdams) is waiting to fly back home when she meets charming Jackson Rippner (Cillian Murphy) at check-in. She thinks it luck that they're seated together on the plane, but soon learns otherwise. Jackson hopes to assassinate the head of Homeland Security, but to do so, he needs Lisa to reassign the official's room number at her hotel. As insurance, Jackson has kidnapped Lisa's father (Brian Cox).

A tense little thriller that greatly benefits from Cillian Murphy as the lead antagonist. He delivers a creepy and menacing performance and is easily the best part of the whole film. The story here drags it down a bit. There's some lazy writing and plot holes throughout. But overall, it moves at a brisk pace, thanks to its incredibly short runtime and delivers excitement throughout.

So many plot holes. How does she just leave her dad to die like that? Cylian Murphy and McAdams went on to be in some really wonderful films & tv shows.. but this definitely wasn’t what got them there. Film also suffers from the fact that you don’t really care what happens to the Keefe character or even hoping he gets assassinated. As for Wes Craven, Scream worked because you weren’t supposed to take it seriously at all. But with this…
