Audience Member Wow!!! I'm impressed by the big good reviews that this movie is getting, cause I did not like it at all. Shame on you the director for this fake movie. I was not able to believe how bad the movie was. This was horrible and I got lost in the middle of the movie, and this was not scary at all. One of the worst movies that I have seen. So for this being one of the worst horror movies that I have seen, and for losing my interest, I give " A Haunting At Silver Falls" an F. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 01/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Husband and I were looking for a new scary movie. This was not it. Not only did have a zero scare factor the plot was lacking and all over the place. #ghostbus Rated 1 out of 5 stars 01/15/23 Full Review Audience Member I wouldn't call this film "creepy" or dark at all. It's actually kind of dorky--and not in that b-horror way. Unfortunate for the director, Donowho, this film tries hard. Its creepy factor comes from a flat attempt to generate unease with sexual predation motifs and a series of ghhooostly transpositions (see the slo mo "You're next" @ 1'12" - ha ha) and uninspired camera techniques. Admirably, the film ties up its theme, which begins with the bizarre sexual awkwardness between Jordan and her adoptive family that seems at first and for most of the film to go nowhere and do nothing. And when this tension produces the film's twist, I was left wondering what the hell is going on. I think the big standout in this film is the writing, the terrible, terrible writing. This creates a contrast with the acting, which is oddly fair. These elements combined, the film is kind of chuckle-worthy. Expect a laughable line every 10 mins or so. I spent the lion's share of this cringe fest speculating on the most basic yet convoluted facts of the plot which are leaked throughout like crumbs from a fruitcake, leaving a trail to something that makes no sense and, anyway, is unwanted. Watch it with film buff friends. Be drunk or be sorry. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 02/20/23 Full Review Audience Member Surprisingly good movie with a satisfying ending. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/04/18 Full Review Audience Member Starts out pretty much predictable. However, it takes a turn...hmm wasn't expecting them to be that way...SURPRISE Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/30/23 Full Review Audience Member This wasn't even average, there were parts of it that were really good, like the acting. But the story was just ludicrous and unfortunately the ending didn't make much sense. It sort of did but there were more questions after it was over than there should be. it wasn't really scary, it was fairly tame, it was more story than scary, didn't make me nervous or jumpy, and that's a must! Story could have been scarier and there could have been hints about the ending where at the end, you think Ohhhhhh yeah. There were two hints only. One was just random and didn't point to anything and then the second one was the actual clincher but untik then, I didn't even suspect the culprits. just felt thst maybe things were a bit half assed Anyways, would I watch this again? Probably not. was it the worst I've seen? Not at all, the acting was actually pretty good, they just had a weak story to work with.
