V.A. Musetto New York Post A mixed-up movie about mixed-up people. Rated: 1.5/4 Jan 27, 2012 Full Review Neil Genzlinger New York Times The lovebirds' dialogue has the sophistication of a junior high school romance, and Mr. Schaeffer appears to have pasted his story together from the button-pushing plotlines of other films. Rated: 1.5/5 Jan 26, 2012 Full Review Frank Scheck Hollywood Reporter Like his unlucky-in-love characters, prolific filmmaker Eric Schaeffer keeps trying, to little avail. Stephanie M I was disgusted and disappointed. I loved If Lucy Fell and Fall as even with the dark moments it still gave a little hope. This movie yanked all that away. Shame on you Eric Schaeffer, obviously uncaring of his fans to write such a depressing morbid movie. People break up, and get in debt. You don't lie about who you are then when the person bails hire someone to kill you causing the person who did love you to kill themselves. You talk to them and try to work it out. Michael followed Sarah all the way to Paris trying to make it work but you meet someone young enough to be your daughter and a week later just give up. A waste of my time. And I read somewhere you will do another movie in 15 years again so 2027. Where will that be set, in purgatory or hell or heaven. How will that work, you fall for an angel then jump off a cloud and plummet to earth or cut off your wings. Where did your belief in the celebration of all slain hope go. I'm so disappointed in you Eric Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 09/06/23 Full Review Audience Member If you are living in BDSM world and understand it, this is real deal. It mirrors reality in our world, the power dominant has over submissive individual and possible consequences if you are bad or just inexperienced master, Very deep movie with tons of details which are hidden to vanilla audience. I admit some dialogs are cliché and not polished. Still solid 91%. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/31/23 Full Review Audience Member The greatest characteristic of this film is how unpredictable it is. The reason why this film is so unpredictable is because the story is so original, weird, yet unique. Though I have never experienced having a double life as a nurse/dominatrix, nor do I know what it's like to be million dollars in debt, this film has allowed me to feel a strong connection with its characters through love and sacrifice. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/02/23 Full Review Audience Member The movie was not so bad that is should get so many rotten tomatoes. It just goes to prove (spoiler alert) Americans are shallow mined and must always have a happy ending. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/18/23 Full Review Audience Member If only Eric Schaeffer could stop using himself as his own leading man he might end up with a solid film. This movie is a sort of extension of an earlier film by Schaeffer. This movie tries to be more than it is and often goes to far with its use of BDSM scenes. But, I found this film to be filled with engaging moments of honesty and an uncomfortable mix of human kindness and cruelty. Lizzie Brocheré is amazing in this role. Her performance is what triggers me to give this film 3 instead of 2.5 stars. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/22/23 Full Review Audience Member Spoilers: Waited pretty much forever through what seemed like hours of emotionally reclusive babble only for the ending to become "shockingly" lame. It seems like the writers and directors were trying really hard to make something with a surprising twist only to take what could have been a half decent love story and turn it into a mediocre tragedy. F+ with a twist of stupid....why are more and more movies going the route of "lets disappoint everyone with a grim twist" in favor of "let's make a decent rounded movie"? The world isn't all depressing hollow flawed tragedy..... Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/17/23 Full Review Read all reviews
