david m There is a lot to like in this film. The story is told well, with some great acting from folk playing the main characters. I enjoyed the scenery and atmosphere, and loved the music. I prefer films that are not too long, and appreciated that this film was around ninety minutes, but found that the ending was a little abrupt. We thought it was strange that Carrie had three children without us finding out anything about her husband, or even seeing him. If you like The Railway Children, I think you might find Carrie's War appealing. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member A bitter sweet family film with some flaws. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/22/23 Full Review Audience Member Sweetly performed by a lovely Keeley Fawcett, Carrie's War is sharply scripted and positively acted, but still the ending is unsatisfying. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/31/23 Full Review Audience Member well umn just seen this movie 4 the 1st time n think that this is a good movie 2 watch..i think that lesley sharp, keeley fawcett, jack stanley, pauline quirke, alun armstrong, robert page play good parts throughout this movie..i think that the director of this Drama, Kids & Family movie had done a good job of directing this movie because you never know what 2 expect throughout this movie its a good movie 2 watch n its a good family movie 2 watch as well Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/27/23 Full Review Audience Member Really enjoyed this remake, but I enjoyed the original more.
