      Metal S They keep changing the name of this film, the single worst fantasy film i have ever seen. I hope to god it appears on RLM one day. The Asylum got sued by Warner Bros. Pictures to prevent the release of the film under its original title "The Age of the Hobbits." At some point the name was changed to "Clash of Empires," and again to "Lord of the Elves". No matter the name, the film in question was the first ever that I watched from The Asylum. (technically the second because I watched The Amityville Haunting.) This was the first I watched intentionally. I really think this was far better than it deserved to be, which shocked me. The acting was pretty bad but far from the worst I've seen. The CG was bad but also far better than I expected as well. I was expecting a film that was completely terrible, instead I got a film that just wasn't good. I know that's an odd way to review a film but it's the best way I could put into words. The most jarring part was that the film felt like it was poorly dubbed. I'm not sure if that was intentional or not.
