Audience Member Although her character is supposed to be a pimp, a fraud and a tough business woman, Biyouna is very moving as "Madam Aldjeria" and we understand her motives which are human. Just like her, all the other characters are marginal and have a dream - they try to make it in nowadays' Algeria, which Nadir Mokneche films beautifully. The movie, although it's a drama, is colourful and as refreshing as the lovely Aylin Prandi (Paloma). The plot could have happened anywhere, but the characters were quite special, particularly Mme Aldjeria - a strong woman with little scruples to achieve her dream. However, the film is too long and with a slow pace sometimes; I wouldn't watch it again.
