For a debut film, Dirty Girl is fun to watch, filled with stellar performances and reminds people over the age of 19 why it's sooo awesome to not be a teenager anymore. Go to Full Review

This is a fearless performance but one that doesn't forget to be genuine and real, Danielle's emotional transformation stirring, oftentimes powerful and, in my opinion, difficult to forget. Go to Full Review

Dirty Girl isn't. Sorry, but it's just faux grime, a thin layer of bad behaviour that wipes clean with a two-ply tissue to reveal the real movie beneath - all shiny sentimentality. Go to Full Review

Growing up gay in 1980s Oklahoma could not have been easy, but writer-director Abe Sylvia and the cast of his debut feature Dirty Girl make it look like a helluva lot of fun. Go to Full Review

john h Jun 2 A nice coming-of-age comedy that allows its main cast to exercise the limitations of acting. An enjoyable performance by a young Juno Temple who embodies the feistiness and emotional development of a teenage girl during a road trip with her socially alienated friend. See more alan g @agenser Apr 9 Just soft core porn. See more mark g 12/10/2024 Really great cast, carried by excellent leads (Juno Temple and Jeremy Dozier are awesome). Lots of great music integrated perfectly into the film. Quirky, fun, quasi-road movie. If you open your mind, very enjoyable and entertaining movie. I laughed out loud numerous times at very clever bits and was surprisingly touched by some of the more serious aspects of the film. Outside the box for sure, which is why you see some negative reviews, but I like unconventional. See more 04/17/2019 Don't listen to the critics this movie has an amazing sorry and is overall great.
