...noteworthy mainly because a part of the deal to make it allowed Ron Howard the chance to direct his own next picture. Go to Full Review

Solomon M 08/29/2020 Eat My Dust is film I am very fond of. The stunt driving teen rebel comedy is a winner. It is also a great Halloween theme film and as a teen I would drive my 1974 Chevy SS on the back roads with a tape that had "Eat My Dust" theme and other hip bluegrass songs on it. See more 12/07/2018 Low-budget car chase movie gets by on low-grade humor and a fast pace. See more 10/14/2017 I would venture to say that I liked, but didn't love this story of Ron Howard as a young man, obsessed with speed and driving his hotrod. I think the story about a guy stealing a stock car to impress a girl might've put me off, as it involves a ton of property damage along the way for people who have noting to do with him trying to get laid, so I couldn't root for this asshole, as I might rather see him in jail given his idiotic behavior and lack of concern for others. It's a watchable flick, but maybe others will get more out of ti than I did. Rental. See more 02/16/2015 A very enjoyable bad movie with almost no plot, just a bunch of car chases and crashes. See more 01/10/2015 There's whiskey and blood on the pavement. Darlene is the hottest girl in town and Hoover has obtained the hottest car in town. Hoover will do anything to impress Darlene so they go on a wild ride of fun and breaking the law. Things get hot, but misinterpreted. There is an obvious short term connection based on the ongoing events, but can Hoover turn this into a long term relationship? "I'm not impressed by reckless driving." Charles Griffith, director of Forbidden Island, The Little Shop of Horrors, Up from the Depths, Smokey Bites and Dust, and Wizards of the Lost Kingdom II, delivers Eat My Dust. The storyline for this picture is fairly straightforward and reminded me for Grand Theft Auto (also with Howard) or The van. The cast includes Ron Howard, Clint Howard, Charles Howerton, and Christopher Norris. "Just because I have a stupid name doesn't mean I'm not worth going with." I am a huge grindhouse movie fan and have been dying to see this for some time. I finally got around to watching this and felt it was just okay (a little like Two-Lane Blacktop). This isn't a classic like Vanishing Point but is a fun movie for the time (more like The Van). Overall, I recommend seeing this if you're a fan of the muscle car or grindhouse genres. "They are not dangerous." Grade: C+ See more 03/15/2014 a car chase movie that is amazingly dull See more Read all reviews
