Peter Rainer Christian Science Monitor Well-observed and unassuming as this film is, it glides along rather too blandly. Rated: B- Sep 16, 2016 Full Review Kenneth Turan Los Angeles Times Honest, direct and dramatic without any sense of special pleading or situations pushed too hard. Sep 15, 2016 Full Review Alissa Wilkinson RogerEbert.com It's sometimes funny, but always empathetic, and Faucon wisely leaves many of the most dramatic moments off-screen. Rated: 3/4 Aug 26, 2016 Full Review Steve Erickson Gay City News All the clichés about immigrant life are present here. Feb 14, 2018 Full Review Luis Fernando Galván En Filme A social observation drama, the director avoids any emotional blackmail. Audience Member Complex portrait of a Moroccan immigrant family in France. Through the actions and interactions of Fatima, her daughters, their father, and their friends, we can really seem to enter the world of outsiders. The poem Fatima writes near the end is brilliant. It's based on a short collection of writing by North African writer Fatima Elayoubi, according to writer Vikram Murthi. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/14/23 Full Review Audience Member Fatima is a good social testimony of a reality that happens everyday, and it is good and I like that it has been awarded. However, as a narrative line, I find it not so interesting. Anyway, 2.5 stars, and I add half an additional one because of the social aspects. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/07/23 Full Review Audience Member Fatima has unequal performances, no plot and a boring cinematography. However, Soria Zeroual's acting is the best point of the movie.
