Grant Watson Fiction Machine There is no denying that this is a derivative work - it clearly would not exist without Toho's reptilian giant - but within that framework it does feel like its own thing. Rated: 7/10 Oct 3, 2021 Full Review Tim Brayton Antagony & Ecstasy Silly, nonsensical, incoherent, and wildly unconvincing, and there's not a single frame of it that isn't hilarious. Rated: 4/10 Aug 14, 2014 Full Review James O'Ehley Sci-Fi Movie Page Gamera has no qualms about incinerating an entire club filled with anti-authoritarian beatniks with his fiery breath, but saves a small annoying boy from falling to his death! May 27, 2010 Full Review Sean Axmaker Seanax.com ... the sober approach slips into silliness with a giddy space age ending%u2014and ultimately that's the film's charm. Justin T Look this is an old film and I get that but I can't help that it's not a good film now, maybe it was good back then. Films like King Kong (1933) are still good and that was over thirty years before this one. Anyway there are some fun moments but it's mostly very boring. Often the story jumps around for no obvious reason, so much is not properly explained. There is no reason to watch this except maybe in the sixties when we didn't have the improved effects and storytelling and film making ability that we have now, or realistically since the eighties, heck films before this had so much more going on for them like creativity and entertainment. Whatever, it's not a good film. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 12/22/24 Full Review Audience Member A very cheap knock off of godzilla that besides a few fun destruction scenes is just very mediocre Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 10/12/24 Full Review Irelia I whyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy does this exist Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 04/05/24 Full Review Adam S While not innovative, and it lacks in multiple areas that make it pale in comparison to the other Kaiju films of its time, the original Gamera film is a solid start that contains impressive set pieces of that sweet Kaiju action. Rating: 50% Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 03/06/24 Full Review Gorgo _ I #### my pants while watching this Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/26/24 Full Review Georgan G What could be better than a 200' turtle with fire coming out of its shell? This movie is out of the 50 SciFi Classics collection. If u enjoy old sci fi, u will love this Japanese flick. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 12/03/23 Full Review Read all reviews
