It really is impressive how this film gives a really nuanced social commentary on what it is like to experience racism... It expresses the false sense of security of a masked racism right below the surface that others and marginalizes black people. Go to Full Review

An atmospheric, albeit strange, combination of The Stepford Wives (1972) and Guess Who's Coming to Dinner (1967), but also with some "over-the-top" horror in the mix and hardly offering anything new or subtle by the end. Go to Full Review

Feb 23 Suspenseful and original! See more 09/25/2023 Great premise. Horror doesn’t come from cheap jump scares or creepy monsters, it comes from people. Some cheesy and goofy parts, but overall a great film. White people are crazy tbh. See more hawas M @Nothing_empty 5h The movie looks like it was designed against white people, had no meanings value in it. That’s my impression of it. See more Ryan F @FrostyJim 4d Really good. Definitely worth watching. See more Chelsea H @ChelsDez 6d I still say to this day that Get Out is an absolute psychological masterpiece. The message hits quietly at first, then builds perfectly throughout each scene. The socially awkward moments? Painfully real. The forced smiles, strange behavior, the weird awkward comments, the “did they really just say that?” energy that makes you wonder wth is going on… Theres scenes that crawl under your skin because they can and do actually happen in real life. No exaggeration, just truth in the discomfort… anyone saying the movie was bad simply doesn’t get the bigger picture OR they don’t like feeling uncomfortable by the truth lol What makes it more brilliant is the balance. It never relies on cheap jump scares; instead, it builds psychological tension that doesn’t get stagnant or boring. The creepiness is always there, the unease lingers, and the twists land perfectly all the way till the end. Idk anyone who hasn’t seen this already but if you haven’t yet then wait no more! See more Big Kushy I Jan 2 Spike Jonez is overrated af. The plot is rather boring and fantastical in the sense that its over the top fiction. See more Read all reviews
