Harry L WHAT A BANGER MY FAVOURITE MOVIE OF ALL TIME Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/19/24 Full Review Fara F "Hacksaw Ridge" is a feature film in the genre of war drama directed by film-maker Mel Gibson, which was shot based on a true story and is a thriller. Filming took place in Australia. The film " Hacksaw Ridge" tells the heroic and poignant story of a field orderly named Desmond Doss, who picked up a rifle only once in the entire film (he did not pick up a weapon because of his deep beliefs), but despite this, managed to receive the highest U.S. A military award for heroism and courage. During the Battle of Okinawa, he carried 75 people from the battlefield, whom he single-handedly lowered from the cliff for more than a day. The lead role , Desmond Doss, was played by the actor well-known to us for the role of Peter Parker from "Spider-Man" Andrew Garfield. The actor perfectly conveyed the character of his character. He and Teresa Palmer, who played the beloved of the hero, Dorothy Phule, perfectly played a couple in love, conveying all the sincere feelings and feelings of the characters. Hugo Weaving and Vince Vaughn, who played supporting role, also played their role perfectly. The actors played their roles so well that while watching the beginning of the film, we can feel dislike and hatred for their characters. Despite the modest budget, the special effects in the film are very good, they were able to convey the entire military atmosphere. I really liked the war drama "Hacksaw Ridge" because of the interesting, moving and gripping plot and the wonderful acting. The film lasts 2 hours and 19 minutes, I advise everyone to watch it! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/31/24 Full Review Ari V Interesting and probably largely-true story, good acting, but def some hollywoodization that takes it down a notch. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/24/24 Full Review Luke B Great story, acting, and special effects. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 03/17/24 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Wendy Ide Observer (UK) Gibson's robust directorial technique brings an undeniable punch to the combat scenes ... Elsewhere in the film, however, there's a sledgehammer lack of subtlety that is only partially mitigated by Andrew Garfield's impressive performance. Rated: 3/5 Jan 29, 2017 Full Review Donald Clarke Irish Times If they gave out awards for "most movie in a movie", then no other movie need turn up. Rated: 3/5 Jan 27, 2017 Full Review Kevin Maher Times (UK) A rousing tale of Pacific War heroism that has more in common with jingoistic Wayne staples such as Sands of Iwo Jima or The Green Berets than anything in the 21st century, this is wearily formulaic film-making. Rated: 2/5 Jan 26, 2017 Full Review Keith Garlington Keith & the Movies The superbly shot battle scenes aside, Gibson’s traditionalist sensibilities show up in how he shoots everything else which is a perfect fit for this particular film. It’s easy to get lost in the period he visualizes. Rated: 4.5/5 Aug 21, 2022 Full Review Brian Eggert Deep Focus Review Hacksaw Ridge seems at odds with itself, particularly during the chaotic and gruesome second half, as it tells a story about a brave pacifist while also satiating the filmmaker's long-demonstrated bloodlust. Rated: 2.5/4 Apr 9, 2022 Full Review Matt Brunson Film Frenzy Mel Gibson's direction can hardly be deemed inspired, but because he's less ham-fisted in his jingoistic zeal than Peter Berg, his workmanlike efficiency at least rarely gets in the way of a worthy storyline.
