Benoit (Bernard Tapie) is a wealthy businessman with a taste for the good life. Fabiolini (Fabrice Luchini) is an actor turned undercover cop. They meet, suffering from stomach aches, in the waiting room of Dr. Nitez (Alessandra Martines), who is one of Benoit's disgruntled ex-lovers. She switches their charts, telling Benoit he may not have long to live and giving Fabiolini a clean bill of health. Armed with the information, both men set out to change their lives.

Audience Member Saw this film at the movies when it came out & really enjoyed this starnge story! now to be honest i don't remember much of it , only the fact i enjoyed it. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/26/23 Full Review Audience Member Ce n'est certainement pas le meilleur film pour commencer la filmographie de Lelouch, mais c'est le seul que j'ai en stock actuellement. La plus belle chose de cette oeuvre demeure certainement la voix de Patrick Husson, magnifique et émouvante à souhait, ayant un petit rôle où il commence comme simple chanteur de rue pour finir vedette. Bel hommage de Lelouch pour cet homme à la voix si particulière. C'est aussi l'occasion de se rendre compte que le cinéaste peut offrir des moments très humains, très émouvants, donnant l'impression de se trouver devant un excellent film. Malheureusement, Lelouch se perd dans la lourdeur par instants et surtout dans des dialogues sans queue ni tête, interminables, philosophant sur le sens de la vie, devenant d'un coup très sérieux là où l'humour fonctionnait parfaitement auparavant. Des élucubrations sans fin, ennuyantes et presque aussi arrogantes que chez du Godard. Reste aussi un rôle taillé sur mesure pour Bernard Tapie.
