Valerii Ege D Second try for Horror Avengers. Again, every cult monster in the same movie. But this time, Dracula is after love, as always, while Werewolf looks for a solution. Not a good movie. But valuable. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 09/18/23 Full Review Steve D Not a scare or intentional laugh to be had. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 05/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Universal Studios certainly milked their classic monster franchise for every penny. 1945's "House of Dracula" is one such example of that. While the movie itself is not terrible, and has moments of greatness, as a whole, it is just mediocre at best. After all, a movie featuring the late Lon Chaney, Jr. in the role that made him famous can't be all bad! The late John Carradine is fine as Count Dracula. Just fine, that's all. The supporting cast does well in their respective roles. For me the best part of the movie were Chaney's scenes with the late Onslow Stevens as Dr. Franz Edelmann. The scenes benefited by two good actors and had well written dialogue. As far as the rest of the movie is concerned, as I said it is mediocre. It may be worth seeing once if you are fan of the actors or Universal Monsters, but otherwise, I do not think "House of Dracula" is worth seeing. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/22/23 Full Review ogn d Typical Svengoolie fare now. See IMDB for a more complete list of cast Rated 2 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Liam D A much better crossover but still suffers the same problems with a short runtime and the monsters not being in the same scene together Rated 3 out of 5 stars 07/09/22 Full Review Audience Member Continuity be damned! This series has become a complete mess, but there's still some fun to be had if you're in the mood for a monster mash. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 12/19/21 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
