Audience Member Monkey time! A town is under the finger of a ruthless weapons smuggler. Iron Monkey discovers the ruthless gangster and that a group of locals are out to stop the gangster. Iron Money joins the group's efforts and actually trains some of the members so the gangster sees more than one Iron Monkey. Can the new group of Iron Monkeys stop the gangster? "Tell me who you are!" "Iron Monkey." "Another one?" Lu Chiang Chao, director of The Buddhist Spell, delivers Iron Monkey 2 in his second major movie effort. The storyline for this picture is just okay and could have been better. Donnie Yen was still awesome in his role and the film had some solid action scenes, but the group against the gangsters was a bit cheesy at times. Aside from Yen, the cast also includes Billy Chow, Grant George, Lara Cody, Richard Cansino, Peter Doyle, and Cam Clarke. "He is the only man that can kill you. His name is Iron Monkey." I came across this movie on Netflix and had always wanted to see it. I am glad I finally got to see it as I thoroughly enjoyed Yen's performance in this film. This isn't his best work, as he was no longer the primary focus of the film, but this was entertaining and worth a viewing. I recommend this to fans of the genre. "I'll show you what I got!" Grade: C+ Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/19/23 Full Review Audience Member From jaw-dropping speed to hilarious situations, effects and lighting, this is one hell of a flick. Epic finale and little pretense throughout makes for one of the best mid 90's kung fu movies. Yuen Woo-Ping, Donnie Yen and Billy Chow make a mean combination. Much better than its predecessor from '93. It was a smart move to make Yen the Iron Monkey. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 01/21/23 Full Review Audience Member Rubbish! Although, the movie I saw only said it was Iron Monkey II. I don't remember Donnie Yen being in there... Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/16/23 Full Review Audience Member 4/10: Disappointing sequel to the first part. If not for Donnie Yen, I would have given a lower rating. One thing good about this movie is that there are plenty of kung-fu scenes. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/04/23 Full Review Audience Member A grandious Hong Kong Flick with a intelligent Story who is settled in the Japanese Occupied Shantung Region while the Japanese-Chinese War with Tons of High Skilled Martial Arts and Gun Spread, a bizzare Atmosphere and freaky Characters, Lot of Chinese Culture, a great Soundtrack, superb Actors, goregous Camera Work & a breathtaking Cinematography Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/16/23 Full Review Audience Member Low-budget kung-fu flick with not enough action but what there is is insane and over the top. A disappointing sequel to the great 1993 original. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/15/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
