steve d feels like a student film that didn't get a passing grade. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Audience Member I first saw this movie when my Uncle dug it out of the bargain bin in December 2005. It ruined Christmas. This film is a slight against our fellow man. It's like the tape from 'The Ring'. You have to show it to other people so you don't drown in your own vomit, anger, and humiliation. It's as bad as 'The Room', under no uncertain terms, and the only thing that will wash away the horrid feeling after watching this abortion is Schadenfreude, you will force your friends to watch it as you witness the light leave their eyes. The only thing you'll remember is hollow, weeping laughter. You won't know who the laughter is coming from, but it will be coming from you.How does blood taste like chicken? What's threatening about a bad guy who looks like David Hasselhoff with a fraction of the talent and twice the drinking problem? How can I take the main "Badass hero" character seriously when he looks like The Dude crossed with Billy Ray Cyrus?! these questions only scratch the surface, and none of them will be answered. Ever. You will take away more questions with EVERY VIEWING, I know this because I tried to understand this film by watching it more than once. It drove me to madness that I've only ever been able to describe as "Lovecraftian" in structure and complexity. That's what makes this film unbearable to witness, yet undeniably genius. This film should not have been entitled 'Judges', but instead should have been called 'The King In Yellow'.See this film with as many friends as possible. Demand it in your local independently run movie theatre. Create a buzz, because by this time next year, I want to hear a RiffTrax on this Turkey!
