johann m Dos hombres forman una pareja estable que decide hacerse cargo de un niño de 7 años cuya madre es adicta al crack y se encuentra en proceso de recuperación. Pero todo se complica cuando su madre comienza a buscarlo desesperadamente. Películas así de este estilo que abordan las nuevas estructuras familiares del mundo actual son muy necesarias para que le muestren a la gente, sobre todo a los que son algo retrógrados, el significado de una familia, de la importancia de la adopción y las creencias inválidas acerca de padres homosexuales. Infortunadamente hay historias que no tienen relevancia para la historia, y debido a eso, el final se siente muy apresurado y pudo haberse dedicado más tiempo a la línea principal. The message here is that love and families come in different combinations and that prejudice because of sexual orientation denigrates us all. What makes one feel especially distressed for this couple of two male partners and the neglected little boy here is the almost automatic assumption by those who should know better is that homosexuality means that they have an inclination to pedophilia, which couldn't be further from the truth. That people in this day and age can still make this very ignorant and bigoted assumption is an outrage, and one such a film as this one can hopefully help correct. A very touch and effective movie.
