simon d At this point in their careers it doesn't look like Laurel and Hardy were a duo; Ollie just has a small part in this. It is still the same slapstick stuff but the connection between the two is not here yet. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Mike M While it's disappointing the stars don't interact at any point, the whole has considerably more snap over two reels than the later remake "Chickens Come Home" had over three, and HM Walker's titles ("I'll have a horse's neck - " " - and I'll take the tail, so you only have to kill the one horse") are actually funnier than the spoken dialogue he came up with second time round. Not for the first time, a remake would be for purely commercial reasons, bloated, and in most senses inferior to the original.
