Ten years ago, an inexperienced coal miner named Tom Hanniger caused an accident that killed five men and put a sixth, Harry Warden, into a coma. A year later, on Valentine's Day, Harry woke up and murdered 22 people with a pickaxe before dying. Now Tom has returned home, still haunted by the past. And something else is back in Harmony: a pickaxe-wielding killer in a miner's mask, who may be the ghost of Harry, come to claim Tom and his friends.

My Bloody Valentine has lously gender politics for a slasher movie, and that's both disappointing and disconcerting because the film has probably made enough money to merit a sequel and inspire other 3D horror movies.

It’s a quintessential early-2000s gore fest—packed with nudity, over-the-top kills, and zero apologies. You’re either on board with that vibe, or you’re not. The plot follows a familiar slasher formula, but the Valentine’s Day theme gives it a stylish twist, adding a splash of color and flair that makes the visuals stand out. Think vivid reds, heart-shaped motifs, and blood-soaked romance. If you have a soft spot for flashy, holiday-themed slashers, this one’s worth a watch.

(Overall Rating: 2.16/5) (Bad) ----- (Cinematography/Atmosphere: 2.5/5) The VFX were ok but nothing special (did not see in 3D). The overall Atmosphere was also average for the type of movie. The score was not great --- (Storyline/Plot: 1.5/5) The story tried to be something more than was necessary for what it was. What was there was very predictable and used tired tropes. --- (Acting: 1.5/5) Jensen was Jensen, otherwise the acting was very bad in this one. Even the "trips/falls" were hilariously terrible. --- (Character Quality: 2/5) This is an odd one where the characters as written may have been better than how the actors were portraying them. Still not good --- (Entertainment Value: 3.5/5) If the movie has a strong point this is it. The gore was appropriate for the genre. I audibly laughed throughout although I'm not sure if that's what was intended. I was at no point scared and none of the "jump-scares" were good enough to get me. --- (Expectations vs. Reality: 2/5) This was my first viewing of the movie 17 years after it came out. I thought it may be a little scarier than it was, so that was a let down. Otherwise it was a typical low budget campy affair.

ive watched this movie about ten times in one year. one of my most favorite things ever and the low budget makes it even better (i LOVE low budget movies...not too sure why) also i really love harry warden. harry warden hmu please. please. the story is a bit weird to follow at first but after a few rewatches things make sense i think. yeah. also i love the low exposure they use in certain scenes im a sucker for dim lighting. i like the random amounts of blood thrown around. someone had fun doing that i bet. i love harry warden a lot. and my bloody valentine but i also love harry warden.
