Tim M Well, what can I say it does exactly what it says on the tin? It's not supposed to be good and it's not supposed to be great. It literally is what it is and it should be praised for the just being camply bad. With bad acting and fairly mediocre special effects, thankfully, not CGI. I don't think there's anything wrong with this movie at all. Werewolf officiardos will really love this movie. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 04/11/25 Full Review Nick P Strictly average creature feature, not badly done for the budget, a one-time watch. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 06/04/24 Full Review Audience Member I feel as if I wanted to like this one more than it would actually let me, as I can barely remember anything about it and it's as if I blotted it from my mind the moment credits rolled, I only have vague memories of sketchy special effects. A rental at best, and I might try to give it a go again in the future, just to see if anything changes for me. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/07/23 Full Review Audience Member A festival of 90s cheap horror schlock, Project Metalbeast is at least competently directed even if the acting and effects work is hilarious at times. Kane Hodder plays the metalbeast (the monster itself) and Barry Bostwick of Spin City fame plays a shady colonel who has nefarious plans with his ex partner/werewolf. Overall enjoyable in a 90s schlock kind of way. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/04/23 Full Review Audience Member One of those rare gems that gathers a small following in the underground video world. Let's face it.. werewolves aren't that popular these days, and they never have been, not when compared to the likes of other movie monsters such as Vampires, and Ghosts. Project: Metalbeast has never been released on DVD, maybe it never will be, I just happened to stumble upon it a little over 15 years ago in the new release section of a Massachusetts blockbuster. I fell in love immediately.. I mean.. a werewolf with metal fucking skin!!!?? Umm.. count me in. This is the very definition of a guilty pleasure.
