Nick Rogers Midwest Film Journal Do you, like me, know you are in good hands as a movie opens on a bum played by Clint Howard looking past maggot-swarmed meat of a rotting burger to complain about its lack of cheese, only for a woman to spontaneously combust while falling from a roof? Rated: 3.5/5 Oct 25, 2024 Full Review Patrick Cavanaugh The Wolfman Cometh Pivots away from its predecessors entirely, and while those films weren't something worth continuing, this entry falls far short of capturing any charm of the films that launched the series. Rated: 2/5 Sep 20, 2023 Full Review Tim Brayton Antagony & Ecstasy The atmosphere is so pervasively "low budget L.A." that it never ceases to feel like the exact thing it is, a chintzy DTV movie. Ian why is this movie in this franchise? this has nothing to do with the franchise at all. think of it as its own movie, and it's a pretty damn good movie at that. this is a weird mindfuck with sick effects and creepy bugs. it's a really well made and unique movie with great performances and a pretty cool concept. this may be my favorite in the franchise so far. it's so batshit crazy and random. this felt like an A24 movie. i had no idea going into this movie that it was going to be about a cult and massive bugs and had nothing to do with christmas besides decorations, there's not even a guy dressed as santa in this one. i kinda wish this was its own movie, i feel like if this movie was just called "Initiation" a lot more would know about and it might've even been a cult classic. again such a good movie that i highly recommend. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 12/07/23 Full Review S R What even is this movie? It barely feels like a Christmas horror at all, it's slow moving, poorly acted with an awful story that has absolutely NOTHING to do with the previous entries. Three was awful, this is even worse. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 12/04/23 Full Review Audience Member I decided to watch every movie on shudder, it's the only reason I watched this. Honestly half a star is three more than this film deserves. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/15/23 Full Review R P What?! No killer Santa? What has become of this series? We get no Santa but we get a ton of gross cockroaches and a huge worm/maggoty thing. I don't like this trade off. An interesting plot on it's own, but has nothing to do with the Silent Night Deadly Night franchise. (https://foreverfinalgirl.com/silent-deadly-night-4/) Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 12/06/21 Full Review Audience Member All I can say is it is the worst of the series -and considering how bad they are- that is saying ALOT! Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/14/23 Full Review Audience Member Just another cash grab because they are not trying to make the movie interesting.
