2.5/5
Reasonably entertaining but certainly a comedown from Brian Yuzna's fourth entry in the series a year earlier. Go to Full Review

Salvaged solely by the appearances of Mickey Rooney and Clint Howard, but if they don't impress you, it's another entry into the series worth skipping. Go to Full Review

Junky direct-to-video pap, and only the fact that it does, for a brief spell, involve a murderous Santa Claus gives it any sort of leg up over the other films in its series. Go to Full Review

Amor A @Cinemalover_09 3d Depois do quarto e do terceiro filme esse aqui conseguiu até ser assistivel. Mas em compensação o filme ainda é fraco e tem sim algumas cenas perturbadoras. See more Ash P @AshParth Dec 4 Overall, I do enjoy this more than both Better Watch Out and Initiation due to having killer toys be the theme of the movie. The acting is hit-or-miss for me while some of them gave me a laugh. The plot twists are interesting despite them being out of nowhere. If you were to invite me to see any of the Silent Night, Deadly Night movies, I wouldn't mind seeing this movie again. Maybe we could all have a holly, jolly laugh with how ridiculous this movie can go. I'll be giving the Toy Maker five gator looking critter ready to take a bite out of the babysitter out of ten. 5/10. See more Carlos I Nov 16 Oof! They really lost the plot by this point, eh? Silent Night, Deadly Night 5: The Toy Maker tries to keep the killer Christmas spirit alive by introducing a unique premise involving deadly toys and a sinister craftsman, but the whole affair feels like a tired echo of the franchise's peak. It's a fun enough, albeit cheap, idea for a straight-to-video Christmas horror flick with some decent practical effects and memorable death scenes, but it ultimately lacks the visceral magic and controversial spark of the earlier entries, making it an enjoyable, but highly derivative, addition to the series. See more Audience M Dec 26 The Toy Maker is where the franchise veers sharply into bizarre territory, instead of being a violent slasher, this movie focuses on killer toys and a sinister toymaker, which gives it a distinct but somewhat campy vibe. See more e6e 6 09/29/2024 This film is absolutely dreadful, but I still kinda love it. However, is has nothing to do with the rest of the series. See more Read all reviews
