Azizkhuja T "St. Trinian's 2: The Legend of Fritton's Gold" (2009) continues the uproarious legacy of the St. Trinian's franchise, delivering another round of chaos, camaraderie, and cheeky humor that fans have come to adore. This sequel not only retains the original film's spirited anarchy but also embarks on an even grander adventure, blending elements of mystery, history, and action into the unique St. Trinian's mix. The film sees the return of the beloved cast, with Rupert Everett once again brilliantly portraying the indomitable headmistress Camilla Fritton, alongside Colin Firth, who reprises his role as the beleaguered Education Minister Geoffrey Thwaites. Their dynamic, infused with witty banter and comedic tension, provides a solid foundation for the unfolding hilarity. The heart of "St. Trinian's 2" lies in its adventurous plot, which kicks off when the girls discover an old ring belonging to Camilla's pirate ancestor, leading them on a treasure hunt across London. The quest for Fritton's Gold is not just a thrilling journey but also a clever vehicle for showcasing the girls' diverse talents, from tech-savvy hacking to creative problem-solving, all while dodging villains and unraveling historical puzzles. Gemma Arterton shines as the savvy head girl, leading the eclectic group of students with a perfect balance of wit and wisdom. The ensemble of St. Trinian's girls, each more endearingly eccentric than the last, are the film's lifeblood, proving that their untraditional methods and unwavering bond can overcome any obstacle. "St. Trinian's 2" excels in its visual style, with vibrant costumes and dynamic set pieces that bring the treasure hunt to life. The film's soundtrack complements its energetic pace, weaving contemporary hits with classic tracks that echo the girls' rebellious spirit. What truly sets "St. Trinian's 2: The Legend of Fritton's Gold" apart is its underlying message of empowerment and unity. The film celebrates intelligence, individuality, and ingenuity, all while delivering a hearty dose of humor and heart. It's a testament to the idea that teamwork and tenacity can lead to extraordinary achievements. In conclusion, "St. Trinian's 2: The Legend of Fritton's Gold" is a delightful sequel that captures the essence of the St. Trinian's ethos. It's a film brimming with adventure, laughter, and a touch of madness, making it a perfect continuation of the St. Trinian's legacy. For those in search of a film that combines humor with heart, and capers with camaraderie, look no further than this charmingly anarchic treasure. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/06/24 Full Review Test T I saw this on DVD recently. It's been a while since I've seen trivial pointless nonsense like this, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I thought it had a fresh, lively, up beat tempo and a decent soundtrack which combined well with the wacky British historical story and traditional St. Trinian's antics. It's also very witty at times but you need to listen carefully and read between the lines a bit. Over all, I found the film very entertaining, and will now seek out the original movie, which if the critics are to be believed, should be even better! Thoroughly recommended. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/03/24 Full Review Zinovy Not. Funny. At. All. Catastrophic falling off after earlier movie. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 12/27/23 Full Review Audience Member Enjoyable enough follow-up albeit strains and forces humor where it does not exist Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/30/23 Full Review Audience Member Juvenile and corny as all hell. I can't see how anyone that isn't a pre-teen girl would like this. That demographic should have a pretty good tone with it, I'd assume though... Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 08/21/18 Full Review Audience Member I don't understand the negativity towards these films. This one is debataly not as good as the prior but still I think both are fun films. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/28/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Ray Bennett Hollywood Reporter Strident, clumsy and pointless. Jan 6, 2010 Full Review Robbie Collin News of the World This jaw-droppingly hopeless sequel deserves to be packed off for a one-way exchange trip to Columbine. Jan 5, 2010 Full Review Kevin Maher Times (UK) Cheap, ramshackle entertainment that's nevertheless imbued with affection. Rated: 2/5 Dec 18, 2009 Full Review Edward Porter Sunday Times (UK) It's another panto for 10-year-old girls, in which any given scene could - with only the addition of canned laughter - pass for something from children's television. Rated: 2/5 Jan 5, 2010 Full Review Philip French Observer (UK) The tone is broad, vulgar and exuberant and its hunt for lost treasure ends up inventively at the Globe Theatre. Schoolgirls and those who like ogling schoolgirls will enjoy it. Jan 5, 2010 Full Review Neil Smith Total Film A film that flails about wildly in search of at least one half-decent joke. Tragically, the closest it gets is having a dog hump Colin Firth's leg. Rated: 1/5 Jan 5, 2010 Full Review Read all reviews
